    I can think of one hack that might work for you. A quick Google brought up this page with a trialware application called Sleepy that should do what you want (I haven't tried it myself).

    One that I have used is PSHUTDOWN which is part of the PSTools software kit from SysInternals. This one is free, and does exactly what you want. Since it is a command-line tool, though, you will need to create a scheduled task to run it.

    turning my pc off at a certian time (MS XP SP1)

    not sure if this is the right room but here goes
    i am woundering if there is a free way to turn my computer of at a time that i chose a bit like sleepy i hope there is

    I've been using YaSoft's "Switch Off" to do exactly what you desire. Absolutely free, non-spyware, it just runs in the system tray and will shut down the computer at whatever time you schedule. It can do more than just shut down though so it has useful versatility beyond just shutting off.
