    Email Address Format (MSO2000)

Never needed this, so I guess that's an excuse for not learning it:

What's the address format for the text that *shows*, and then the address itself (i.e., CB [cwbillow@componentics.com].

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

    Re: Email Address Format (MSO2000)

You can create the display name and e-mail message using this syntax:

    Chuck Billow (Lounger)[smtp:cwbillow@componentics.com]

Press Ctrl+K and Outlook will change this to Chuck Billow (Lounger). Double-click it and the e-mail address will be in the second box. This is my favorite way to add addresses to my PAB in Outlook 2002. Do the above, then right-click and add.

    Jeffery:

    It didn't work...

I used the format you gave (Chuck Billow (Lounger)[smtp:cwbillow@componentics.com]) and tried it in the to line, and also in the Email field of the Contacts, but got error's in both cases as unaccepted address(es).

What am I doing wrong here?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

Not sure why it doesn't work for you (I haven't tried it in a contact record). I use Outlook as my editor and plain text as my format. Otherwise, there aren't too many variables...
