    Preview Reports (Access XP)

    I have created a report that rungs from one of the forms, however when it previews the report it always puts it behind the form so the users wouldn't be able to see it. I've tried using:

    report_rptInventoryForm.visible = true

    and this doesn't do anything.

    I think there's probably something really straightforward that I'm missing but if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

    Is your form a popup form? (That is, the Popup property is set to Yes, and/or the form is opened with acDialog as argument to DoCmd.OpenForm.) If so, the form will be in front of other database objects, including the report, unless you open that with acDialog too:

    DoCmd.OpenReport "rptMyReport", acViewPreview, , , acDialog

    Thank you that's brilliant. I thought it would be something straightforward.
