    Query count (2000)

Hello, I have a query that lists number of phone calls made to the organisation by different individuals, e,g Jon Smith, 01/01/03, about XYZ...Jon Smith, 01/04/03 about abc...Julie Jones, 01/05/03 about RST on son. How can I alter the query to return in order the number of times each caller has called, so I get a list that returns something like Jon SMith, 2...Julie Jones, 1?

    Many thanks Darren.

Create a new query based on the query you describe.
Turn it into a Totals query by selecting View | Totals or by clicking Totals on the Query Design toolbar (the button with the Greek capital Sigma)
Add the name field and the date field to the design grid. Leave the Total option for the name field as Group By, set it for the date field to Count, and set this to sort descending.
