How to ID Duplicate Messages (OT 2000 and >)

    <img src=/S/hello.gif border=0 alt=hello width=25 height=29> Loungers

I have about 10,000 messages that may contain duplicate messages. Other than looking into writing a VBA app. that will check the .Body, .Subject, .From, of an e-mail item, is there a way to identify a message as a duplicate of another, and remove it?

I have been having some problems with receiving messages, and I have downloaded the same batch, over 4 times.

Now I need to delete the dups...

Why can't Outlook clean up the messages after it downloads them? or does it do that actually?

    Thanks for any hints.

I think someone posted a link to a utility available through Slipstick to eliminate duplicates just within the past 48 hours. Or were they duplicate contacts?? Well, I recommend clicking through and searching there.

I did visit this site, and found three, one is a freebee, programs all the way at the bottom of it. I will try and do a comparison and post the findings for the Loungers to check.

    Happy Holidays
