    Comments (XP)

Has anyone had problems with comments in XP. I have alot. We notice that in XP it's just a tiny box with initials that expands when you mouse over it. I was wondering if there was a way to adjust the size of the tiny box so it is more noticeable. I also notice that the comments do not appear in slide sorter view, and wondered if there was a way to adjust that. Also - why are the comments in XP not showing up in 2002? <img src=/S/beep.gif border=0 alt=beep width=15 height=15>

I don't know the answer to your first questions.

XP = 2002, so I am confused by your last question. If you mean that comments created in PowerPoint 2002 (aka XP) don't show up in PowerPoint 2000, see Convert PowerPoint 2002 comments into PowerPoint 2000 comments.

    Re: Comments (XP)

Unfortunately, it's not possible to change the size of the comments in PPT 2002 (aka PPT XP), nor is it possible to format the text in the comment boxes.

Hans has answered your other question with info on how to convert the 2002 comments so they'll show in PPT 2000.

If you feel that PPT's comments should have more options and controls, please submit your feedback to MS by going to http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp.

John Langhans from Microsoft posts this link frequently in the MS PPT newsgroup. He goes on to say, "As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion be implemented by Microsoft.

"Microsoft receives thousands of product suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state your case as clearly and completely as possible.

"IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of suggestions)."
