    Window Size

Whenever I open up my IE 5.5 using a regular icon, it opens up maximized, as is my preference. Whenever I open IE by selecting a site from my Favorites folder, I get a small-sized screen jammed into the upper right corner. I maximize the screen and close it -- the usual method for resetting the default size, correct? -- but it still opens up small. Note that this is only when opening directly from the Favorites folder; every other method opens IE up properly. <img src=/S/scream.gif border=0 alt=scream width=15 height=15>

Is this something that can be set by manipulating a registry key?

    Hi David:

Does it help if you change the size, hold the shift key down, & then click the x?

To expand on that, Windows seems to store the "restored" (windowized?) size separately from your preference for maximization. Make the window huge so that whichever way Windows opens it, it's convenient for you.

    Re: Window Size

Maximizing and then doing a "shift-close" did not help at all, but stretching the window to nearly-maximized size and then closing it did help.
