    Installing Netscape

I uninstalled Communicator, and want to reinstall it, but still have the Program, Users and Winamp folders sitting in my old Communicator folder. Do I have to delete these before reinstalling Communicator again?

No. I've installed versions where I've kept my old folders. It should overwrite with newer files if you use a later version.

    Hope this helps.

Will it be harmful in any way if I delete all folders and then reinstall? Communicator doesn't run for some reason and I thought a complete reinstall might fix the problem.

You might want to first back up whatever is in the user folders. This typically includes your bookmark.htm file, preferences.js file, and mail.

Not harmful at all. But you'll lose any customizations (prefs.js file) & your profile & all messages & newsgroups. Even if some of those are corrupt, you can copy text from them & delete them later. The folders themselves don't cause corruption & will be recreated when you reinstall Netscape.
