Built-in Work Menu

The Word 2000 "Work" menu allows us to create a useful cutomised "recently used file list". The work menu is not visible by default but has to be added from the Tools|Customize|Commands dialog. Your favourite files can then be added to the Work list by choosing the "Add to work menu" command. The menu retains nine items. As files are added to the Work list, old ones drop off the bottom. I should like to edit the Work list manually to delete selected files, but I cannot find where Word stores these settings. Does anybody know?

    Re: Built-in Work Menu

Thanks Leif for pointing out the earlier thread - I was too lazy to read back! I recall the ctrl+alt+- technique for editing menus, but I hadn't made the conceptual leap that the files under the work menu are in fact menu customisations in their own right. A great help and confirmation that WOPR Lounge is a Good Thing!

See How Can I Use (What Is) the Work Menu for information on the Work Menu.

    Hope this helps.
