Different users problem (W XP professional)

    Hi all,

    my Windows has several users.

After making many modifications (and most probably some wrong ones) I have the situation that e.g. user1 is using the settings of user2.

I realised that after I wanted to add the QuickLaunch toolbar to user2, but it was it was not allowed. Only after I copied the QuickLaunch file into user1, it worked in user2.
Or the Excel Personal.xls is loaded from user1 (BTW, this I could arrange manually by creating a new one in user2).

It is not possible to delete the user1 nor the user2. Even when I logon as administrator, the files of user1 are not accessible.

What I can do? I want to avoid a complete new installation of Windows.

    Thanks in advance

    Wolf

If you want to delete User1, you need to do this through the System applet in Control Panel - see attached screenshot.

If you are having access trouble, check the permissions for the folders: right-click, choose Eigenschaften and then Security. You may have to add yourself, as Administrator, to the authorised users.
