I use Sage Line50 on win2k server with win2k and NT4 clients. The data connection is via ODBC (Sage provide the driver). Can anyone tell me why the win2k client generates around 15x the network traffic as the NT4 client. I have tried attaching via ODBC Sage data into to Access2000 and Excel2000. On win2k deadly slow, NT4 no problem.

I have heard that Microsoft rehashed their implementation of ODBC. Is that true?

Server: win2k server PIII 600 512 ram
Client: win2k pro PIII 866 256 ram
Client: NT4 PII 300 96 ram
Network protocols and binding: Netbeui then TCPIP
Netbeui is a requirement of Sage.
