From: Field? (XP)

    Hi,

I clicked something which made the "From" field come when composing emails.

How can I get rid of it?

    Thanks.

It's on the View menu when you create a new message. If you turn it off on the next message you send, does the change stick?

    Hi,

The attached scrn. shot shows the View menu for when I compose the email.

I cannot see any option for the "From" field.

I am using MSWord to type my emails....

    TIA.

    You didn't attach a screenshot.

If you use Word as mail editor, you'll have to turn this off, then start a new e-mail and turn off From in the view menu. Youn clost the e-mail without actually sending it. If you insist on using Word as e-mail editor , you can turn it back on now.

If you don't use Word as e-mail editor, just start a new e-mail in Outlook and turn off From in the View menu. It should stay away in Word too, when you select File | Send To | Mail recipient.

    Well, there's your trouble.

Word's "envelope" pane is notoriously difficult to program/modify in VBA, which really is my only experience with it. I stay as far away from it as possible.
