    2 login profiles - only 1 remembers passwords... (6)

    Hi,

One of our guys has a laptop.
In the day he logs into our network domain.

At home he logs in locally as Administrator.

When he uses IE6 browser at work, it remembers all the passwords, retains cookies etc...

When he visits the same sites @ home, it doesn't remember any passwords etc...

Every time he visits the sites (such as this one) the IE prompt to re-enter the password, but it never really remembers it.

What's the solution to this dillema?!

    Thanks.

Probably NOT the answer, but make sure he has the box checked at Tools | Internet Options | Content | AutoComplete | {b]User Names and Passwords on Forms[/b].

Now, it is the SAME laptop -- but connecting via different networks??

He can re-use his work profile at home if he connects over a LAN (broadband) and you've set him up with DHCP. He simply logs in as he would at work. However, for privacy reasons, he might prefer not to do that...

Presumably, he has Administrator rights on his own machine, but not to the network domain. Why doesn't he log on to his machine locally as Administrator the entire time and then map network drives to the network using his network ID?
