    Send Email Problems

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the best forum to post this but here goes.

I am the volunteer sec for an association and regularly send out a number of emails (3-5 per day) to our members (50?).
My ISP is Bigpond Broadband (Au) and I am starting to get a few messages returned from some of our member's ISP's that subscribe to Spam Cop, Mail Marshall etc. It appears that a number of ISP's have received complaints from their customers that certain ISP's are allowing spam from their site so they block mail from that ISP etc etc.

I have done a search on Google for "free mail server" and have tried "Postcast Server" which appeared to be the solution but after some trial & error I discovered will only work if my PC is directly conected to net. (I'm on a small SOHO network via a SMC router hub).
Can anyone help with a low cost solution for my problem -am I on the right track?

    TIA
    NW

Don't think I have the answer, but a question or two if I may. Have you contacted Bigpond to see if they're aware that their domain might be on someone's spam blocking list? My ISP here in The States is Iglou.Com and they have a free mailblock feature for users to which I subscribe. I gather from the lists I see that they use a service (or more than one) database to do the filtering. I occasionally receive mail from the Bigpond domain and have not had any messages blocked so far. Perhaps you could contact those few people who've been bounced and suggest they ask THEIR ISPs if they have any kind of "permit" filters, as mine does.

I don't monitor the blockage list every day, but I've caught a few from legit people whose domains have been targeted (my brother being one) and simply added a "permit rule" to allow his email to come through. Funny thing is that his ISP also is a big outfit in the New York area, so ya never know.

<img src=/S/hello.gif border=0 alt=hello width=25 height=29> Hello, I would keep a list of the ISP's that are blocking your emails then send it to Bigpond, I think they would be interested to know this problem exists, perhaps they will then resolve it.
