Access 2000 and Access 2002 on the same PC (2000/20002)

I have Office 2000 installed on my PC, I need to install Access 2002 in order to use software written for Access 20002. Can the two versions co-exist?

    Thanks.

It is possible to do, although most Access 2002 software will run on 2000 - we often develop that way. However, if they used the 2002 database format rather than the 2000 format, then you are stuck unless they can build a 2000 version for you from the 2002 version. I'm always more comfortable if I can run it on separate PCs, or in a multi-boot configuration. But Microsoft says it can be done, and I know quite a few people who do. You can do this but make sure you have Office 2k SR-3 installed first. Otherwise, the AXP installation will run a serious risk of breaking your code projects in 2000.

Thanks. I will apply SR-3 to Office 2k before the install.
