Linked images in a continuous subform on report (XP/SP2)

I have an asset database I'm working on where I would like to have a report that has all the asset information in one convenient printout. I have most of the report working properly except for this subform on the report that houses the asset images that are linked to each asset. I'm hoping someone here has done something similar. What I was thinking of was having the subform for the images at the bottom of the report (orientation - portrait) and have it take up the entire width of the report. I could probably fit 3 image controls across and if there were more images associated with this asset (which I don't think will be the case, but I plan ahead) it would continue below the first 3 image controls. How would I do this? Or should I be looking into a different way of doing this?

Any thoughts, suggestions, or examples would be terriffic!
Thanks,
Don

With your other thread in mind, do you mean a subform on a form, or a subreport on a report? A "continuous subform on a report" doesn't make much sense to me.

Yes, a subform on a report. I know what your thinking...most people probably don't use subforms on reports. But I'm an odd ball. It has seemed to work fine for me in some situations; I was thinking it would work in this one also. I must be way off?

Thanks Hans,

Why are you doing this? It is a waste of resources to use dynamic subforms on static reports. Forms and reports don't have the same events, so it's a bit like driving nails with a chisel--you can do it, but it's easier with a hammer. You can always save the subform *as* a report, give it a new name, and use that instead. As for using it, you haven't provided enough information for us to offer useful input ... except perhaps "don't do it that way".
