    Seconds to Minutes:Seconds

I am trying to convert a a number (176 seconds, for example) to minutes and seconds (2.54 in this example). I have tried several different formulae but to no avail. I also tried the time format but soon discovered that that was actual time and not conversion. I would appreciate any help on this.
    Thank you,
    Jon

    Hi Jon,
How is the 176 actually entered? Is it simply 176 in a cell?
If so, assuming that is in A1, you can use
    =A1/86400 in a cell formatted as [h]:mm:ss
(the 86400 is the number of seconds in 1 day)
    Hope that helps.

Just want to add to Rory's post:
If you only want minutes and seconds, even if the number of minutes exceeds 60, then you need to format the cell, via Tools >> Custom >> [mm]:ss.

Thanks, Rory! That formula works. I feel like such a moron now - I was trying to divide the cell by 60 (the number of seconds in one minute). My math skills obviously are not that great! Again, thank you!
