    Runtime Application (97)

    Hi

Is it possible to create a button similar to the printer dialogue options, this option is disabled in runtime applications.

I would also like to know if it is possible to import and export data to tables in runtime applications.

    Thanks for any help

See this newsgroup thread for a method to display the print dialog in a runtime application.

I think it is possible to import and export data, but you will have to provide your own interface. I don't develop for the runtime version, however, so I can't provide details.

Yes, it is possible to do both imports and exports in runtime, but you need to set up import and export specs for that purpose. What exactly are you trying to do?

    Charlotte

I have 2 standalone applications written in Access 97 (both runtime) and I have been asked to create a routine via 2 command buttons which enables a user to export data and import data into their database. I have since found that the TransferText Action should do what I want and I presume it will work under the "runtime" restrictions.

    Thanks
