    Count In Query (2000)

Have a number of fields in a query from a number of tables, for instance contract type, contract feature. I need to run my query to give me a count of the number of entries of contract type and a sub count of contract features per each contract type entry. Is this possible or would I have to do the two seperate then join them together in a report to show them side by side?

    Regards Darren.

In a report, you can have subtotals for each grouping level, you don't need to calculate the subtotals in a query for that. Just put a text box with control source =Count(*) in the group footer for Contract Feature and also in the group footer for Contract Type.

If you want the subtotals in a query, you would indeed have to create separate queries for the totals by Contract Type and by Contract Feature.
