WordPerfect Warning Message on Open (Word 2003)

    Hello everyone,

I recently upgraded to Word 2003 and installed the latest updates. Now, whenever I open a WordPerfect file I receive a warning message that reads:

"This file needs to be opened by the WordPerfect 6.x text converter, which may pose a security risk if the file you are opening is a malicious file. Choose yes to open this file only if you are sure it comes from a trusted source."

The warning pops up for WordPerfect 5.x and 6.x files. Does anyone Know how to turn this warning off?

    Many thanks,
    Rex

This must be new to Office 2003. What a great feature!! I wonder whether this means there is an unfixable buffer overflow problem with Microsoft's converter? If not, I can't really understand why they would pop up this warning. (I don't use WP enough to know whether it has auto-macros that would bypass other Word security.)

I think it's something the service pack added. I have an unpatched version where this doesn't occur.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
