    Formula problem (Excel 2000)

I'm using the formula =SUM(D210) in a cell on my spread sheet to give me the total of the vlaues in cells D2 through D10. The has been working fine fo me except on a spread sheet a co-worker sent me. I use the same value in his spread sheet and it gives me a 0 value. Anyone know what the problem is? Is it on the formatting of the cell? Thanks for the help..

What is the format of the cell with the sum formula? Put it to general and see if it changes.

Are there numbers in D210? The could be text that just looks like a number so the sum= 0

    You can select D2:d10,
data- text to columns - delimited <finish> and it should convert to numbers
