    autorun.inf (PP2002)

    Hi,

    I am trying to burn a .pps onto a CD and want it to autorun when inserted into a persons CD drive. I read somewhere that you should simply do the following in notepad

    type in (asipaharma is the name of my slideshow)

    [autorun]
    open=asipharma.pps

    but all I get is an error message saying "The specified device,path or file is denied"

    I have also tried using open=d:asipharma.pps among other things but with no joy.

    Is the instruction case sensitive? Or when I saved the presentation I left a space in the name ASi Pharma, should I do the same in the autorun, i.e. open=ASi Pharma.pps?

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks

    Steve

    Re: autorun.inf (PP2002)

    It should include the name of an executable to run, and if the name contains a space, you should include that:

    [autorun]
    open=ppview32.exe "asi pharma.pps"

    If that doesn't work, see (for instance) Autorun CD (do it yourself) on PowerPoint MVP Echo Swinford's website.
