How to default HP Laser Printer paper size? (XP SP1)

    Hi,

The screenshot shows one of our PC's printer settings to the LAN printer.
It keeps going back to Letter, but he wants it fixed to A4.

How can he make that setting permanent?

    Help!

Probably the printer itself has a small control panel (LCD display and buttons) in which you can view and modify the default settings.

If the printer is defined on a print server, you need to change the Printing => Printing Preferences => Paper settings (or whatever is relevant to your printer driver) there. These get downloaded to the PC as the defaults, which the user can then change (should this be necessary).
