    Undo (ctrl+Z) question (2000/ sp2)

Is there a way to control the Undo (ctrl+z) feature so that you can surpress when a an action is saved and when it is not. I know about undo clear, but would like to control what gets recorded.

    Thanks

Ctrl+Z, undoes a previous typed in character or action or you can use the Undo located in the menu EditUndo. The cauch for the undo is about 100 characters.

There is a registry setting - which Woody mentions in his books - whereby you can increase the number of entries that are stored. I believe the default is 16. I am not at all sure whether trying to decrease it will have any effect on your overall memory resources. What are you attempting to accomplish?

We have a COM addin and requirements that state that some actions performed should not be allowed to be undone.

Can you not code in Conditional File-Saving once the relevant actions are triggered?
