    LAPTOP CURSOR PROBLEM (1)

I have a Fujitsu Siemens C Series Lifebook with a touchpad although I use a traditoinal mouse.

After a while of use a problem develops with the cursor. The response is erratic and there is a delay in movement. I have cleaned the mouse (even replaced the mouse) but the problem persists.

If I reboot the problem disappears for a while.

Do these problems occur only in Office programs? You posted this question in the General Office Solutions forum.

No. Sorry I am a new member and wasn't sure which forum to post the question.

It occurs in all programmes but probably more noticable when playing the card games.

Which version of Windows are you using? (XP. 2000, NT, ME, 98, 95)

Since you don't give a single version, I'll move this thread to the General Windows Solutions Forum.

Does the Fujitsu have an option to disable the Touchpad? Have you tried deleting the mouse in the Device Manager (in Control Panel) and letting it reinstall itself?

Perhaps it is related to the video adapter's driver? You could try updating it for starters, although from your description I am not sure that it would solve the problem. Have you tried a different critter to see if it is the mouse itself?
