How to change size of icons on toolbars & list fo? (Office 2003 on WInXP)

I have a user who recently switched to Office 2003 who cannot get the office to display proper sizes. All the windows definitions (menu fonts, icon size etc.) are working fine. However, I could find no options within Windows to define the size of icons on toolbars nor the size of fonts as displayed in lists (for example in Outlook's Inbox the name of sender and subject are tiny) or in fields (for example in Outlook messages the To, From... fields are tiny).

Does anyone know where these options are controlled?

    Thanks

    Ofrashai--

For toolbar icons: Tools>Customize>Options>Select Large Icons.

For Fonts in Outlook : In the Item select the text you want to change, and on the Formatting toolbar enter the size you want in the font size box. You can't do this in messages if you choose to use plain text as your message format.

    See:

Changing Text and Formatting Outlook 2003

    Installing and Customizing Outlook 2003

You can search the assistance or training areas for similar topics for other Office applications. Let me know if this doesn't do it for you.

    Hi SMBP,

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I wish the solution was so simple.

    1. Though Large Icons is not selected, the icons in all office toolbars are much too large. I need to know how to customize their size (as in Windows I can customize the size of icon appearance - and the Windows customization does not affect the office toolbars, regretfully).

    2. On the other hand, the fonts in outlook fields is much too small: not content of messages, which I can control, but the "heading" information when opening messages (e.g. From, Sent, Subject). Again, these are not affected by any changes I make to the Windows advanced appearance properties. (One of the articles you sent did help me find how to change the fonts in the rows display in lists, and thanks)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Ofra

As to Outlook for further info two good resources are:

    Diane Poremsky's Site www.poremsky.com

    www.slipstick.com

As to the customization of that toolbar, there are a number of people on the Lounge that may have some ideas--I'm not one unfortunately.
