    Labels (word 2000)

Hi, I have a problem. I have a list of contacts that some one made by going to tools~Envelopes/Labels, then they clicked NEW DOCUMENT and typed in the info there. There was no setup in any kind of database. I can't use my contacts in form letters or any other way. Its set up Name, next line is company next line is address. How can I get the contacts into excel?
    Please help.
    Thanks

Try the following on a copy of the document:
    1. <LI>Start the Replace dialog (Edit | Replace... or Ctrl+H)
Find what: ^p (i.e. paragraph mark)
Replace with: @@@@ (or another dummy string that doesn't occur anywhere in the document)
Click Replace All, and close the Replace dialog.
<LI>Select Table | Convert | Table to Text...
Keep the Tab as separator, and click OK.
<LI>Press Ctrl+Home to position the insertion point at the beginning of the document. (This is not essential)
<LI>Start the Replace dialog (Edit | Replace... or Ctrl+H) again.
Find what: ^t^t (i.e. two consecutive tabs)
Replace with: ^p (a paragraph mark)
Click Replace All, and keep the dialog open.
<LI>Find what: @@@@ (this must be exactly the same as the dummy string you used in step 1)
      Replace with: ^t (a tab)
Click Replace All, then close the dialog.
<LI>Select the entire document (Edit | Select All or Ctrl+A)
Copy to the clipboard (Edit | Copy or Ctrl+C)
      Paste into Excel.
This takes longer to write down than to actually do it.
