    excel animation (2000)

I think Woody has covered this, but how can I animate an Excel spreadsheet such that individual columns will fly onto the screen when I mouse click or press a key?

    Re: excel animation (2000)

I have Office2000 and I have not been able to find the "fly" animation feature. I have however attached an example of two different charts animated. The first is a formatted PowerPoint Chart slide and the second is an Excel chart inserted on a PowerPoint slide.

I right clicked on the chart and selected "custom animation",
I then selected the tab "Chart Effects",

Try different settings and use the preview command button to get an idea of what it will look like.
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to email me.

Assuming you need the spreadsheet cells themselves and not a chart, I suspect you'll have to ungroup the inserted sheet and then regroup the columns you want to animate. Then animate as usual.

Hi, I am using Powerpoint 2003 and Excel 2003. looked at your chart but seems unable to create the animation myself. I created a chart first in Excel, paste it to Powerpoint. But then I don't know how to animate it so that the bars come out in groups by clicks. Can you teach me how? Many thanks.

See if the thread starting at <post:=586,404>post 586,404</post:> helps. If not, please explain in detail which steps you took to paste the chart and to animate it, and perhaps attach your presentation.

Umm, thanks. Actually, Echo Swinford answered your question, then TQ2 revived this thread after almost three years <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
