Font size not consistent in Word VBA User Forms (VBA / Word 2002 )

    Hello All,

I've noticed in my user forms that the text size varies in the labels for
controls as I design the form, and later in the text boxes, combo boxes,
ect. as the user views and fills in the form.

I've set the font size to Tahoma 8 pt. in all items, and "Autosize" is set to false. But sometimes the font looks "compressed" in certain controls.
    It seems totally random.

Does anyone know what causes this? I thought maybe the control size was too small for the font, but other controls of the exact same size and font
settings don't do this. And the problem controls don't have any more text in them than the ones that display properly.

I think it makes the form look really sloppy and it's driving me nuts. Any ideas?

Has anyone else even SEEN this happen before?

    THANKS!
    Laura

Try to set the Top property of all controls to a multiple of 3 points. There is a strange bug (?) in user forms that may enlarge or shrink text in a control if the Top property is not divisible by 3. In the attached screenshot, font is Tahoma 8 in all three text boxes, but the Top poperty is 8, 30 and 55, respectively.

    Hans,

Your screen shot looks exactly like my results.

Thank you SO MUCH! Who'd-a-thunk it? I posted this same question for about a month on the MS Forum w/ no response.
