    Viewing Folders (XP HE)

    As you all know, the default folder content view is Icons....I'd like to change the default to "list"...can this be done, and how?

    Display a folder in list view, then:

    Tools>Folder Options...>[View tab]>Apply to All Folders

    Later, you'll realize that XP can only remember so many folders. There are posts here on how to expand its memory, but hopefully the search will be up again by the time you need it. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

    As Jefferson noted, there are posts here on how to increase the max number of folders that Windows remembers customizations for. I happen to have one bookmarked for future reference that may help. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
