    PC-cillin 2-for-1 -- why 2-for-1?

To me, this seems like an odd promotion. PC-cillin Internet Security is a product for home use. Why would you want to buy two copies? I can think of two reasons: (1) people want to protect two machines on a network; or (2) people want to sell the second copy on eBay. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

P.S. CNET likes it best among antivirus/firewall suites: http://reviews.cnet.com/4521-6520_7-5021410-5.html

I assume you were making a funny about the ebay thing, but then again, maybe you weren't... What's interesting is that in February 2003 when I finally jumped off the McAfee boat and onto PC-Cillin, the price was right. They sold it to me for $25 bucks, as I remember it was one of those "competitive upgrade" things. The 2004 version 2-for-1 price seems to be a repeat'er. Maybe I'll do it and take AVG off my backup machine, since I'm sure they'll be coming after me in February anyway for renewal.

Norton's also provides a 2 license pack, and has for some time. It was the first step for Activation, so one would buy a copy for each machine.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
