    Deleted Items in Outlook (2000)

Have had someone in the office who has just deleted the bosses important e-mail (about 200) using the shift-delete command.
Can someone tell how I may be able to help?

Hopefully there's a fresh backup. There also might be some data recovery tools listed at Slipstick.

If and only if you are on Exchange Server and have the Exchange Deleted Items Recovery add-in installed, there may be hope. Click on the Deleted folder, then see if you have a menu option Tools | Recover Deleted Items. If it's there, select it & see what it finds. If there is no option, see JScher2000's advice.

If you are on Exchange server and your Admin permits it, you can install the recover addin under Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options | Add In Manager, check Deleted Items Recovery, OK out. (If that option doesn't show, I think the Add-In is named DUMPSTER.ECF, if you can find it, and you are on Exchange, Install it from the same dialog.)
