Rich Text Mini-WP (VB .NET 2003)

Does anybody know where I can find an example of a mini-wordprocessor using the Rich Text control in .Net or VB?

I can do most of the things I want apart from text alignment.

I would also like to be able to invoke a spell checker but I can't find anywhere that will tell me how to do that.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as always.

    Regards,

    Hi Kevin,

I did some research on this type of component a number of months back. In the process, I discovered HTMLTextbox by ActiveUp, which I've since used on quite a number of projects at work. It's meant for web-only use, but is very versitle. It even includes a spell checker and image browse/upload.

Give it a look-see and let us know what you decide.

Thanks Mark. This looks like what I need.

I'll post my comments after the software arrives and I get a better look at it.

    Hi Mark,

I finally got time to check out HTML Textbox and I have problems.

I add the tool to the Toolbar and it is greyed out. Support tells me I have to have a web form open for the tool to be active. Do you use it in a VB .NET application? If so, how did you get it to appear in the toolbox?

I know you are not support for ActiveUp but any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks and regards,

    Hi Kevin,

As far as I know, this is a web-only control. I must have missed the fact that you were doing a windows app. I'm not sure if there's any way to make this particular control work in a windows environment.

I'll keep my eyes open for a similar control that's intended for VB rather than ASP and let you know if I see one.
