    Easy way to transfer?

I need to transfer several GB files between two computers. Only one is connected to the internet. They both have a 100 MB zip drive but that is too small for this purpose. (The files to transfer are already compressed.) The source computer does not have a CD-R. The computers are, however, only a few feet from each other. Is there a way to connect the parallel ports together and do the transfer. I seem to remember a product that did this but I can't find it.

One such program is Aloha Bob's PC Relocator, which supplies a cable if you buy the "box" version. It's intended for moving everything, so I don't know if you can use it for selective file copying. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the other popular one, but I know someone here will.....

I suspect the software Al can't think of is Laplink but there are many alternatives, such as FileVan for example.

Laplink was "THE" file transfer utility for many years. Now I'm sure there are many others.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!

Do both computers have a network card installed? If not, you could easily (and cheaply) install one in each PC and get a cross-wired network cable. I think that would be the fastest way to transfer that much data, hands down.
