VB 6 data connections to iMIS (VB 6.0)

Does anyone know if a connection can be made from VB 6 to a database program called iMIS. I'm trying to create a project that will receive all its data, (names, addresses, ect) from a database program called iMIS but store all the data that the VB program well generate in Access 2000. Can it be done?

I don't know iMIS but from Googling I get the impression that iMIS uses a SQLServer database to store its data. VB6 can connext to SQLServer databases, but you must know the name of the database, and have a username/password.

There does appear to be some sort of connection with SQL Server based on the Advanced Solutions International web site, though it isn't clear to me whether their entire product is based on it, or that is one of the options. Given that it is, and that you can create an ODBC connection to the database, you could readily access the tables and work with it directly in Access. It doesn't appear to me that VB6 offers any advantages, and it has a number of disadvantages. Just my <img src=/S/2cents.gif border=0 alt=2cents width=15 height=15>.
