VLookUp returns #N/A but looks correct (2002, SP-2)

I have a table of some demographic data that I'm trying to use the VLOOKUP function on. Refer to attached spreadsheet. All the information in shown on the spreadsheet. Here's the formula that keeps returning the #N/A result - VLOOKUP(29624,A2:E22,3). As you'll see from the table, I am searching for an exact match even though I didn't specify a range_lookup value.

Why does the function keep returning #N/A?

    Thanks,
    Al

There is no cell that contains exactly 29624. Cell A6 contains<pre>"

Thanks, Hans. That's what I get for copying from a Web page and pasting into Excel without trimming.
