    Styles in emails (OL 2000)

I use HTML as my preferred email format. This gives me several paragraph styles such as Normal, Formatted, Heading 1, 2, 3, etc. But unlike in Word, there seems to be no way of defining what fonts or other attributes these use. In Options -> Mail Format, I know I can specify a default font, but that doesn't seem to give me a way of defining the Styles. Am I stuck with the ones MS has chosen?

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that, but it doesn't seem to have an effect.

You may well find that the Outlook 2K styles are set using rules held within IE. Try going to Internet Options|Accessibiily (at the bottom of the first tab). Use the bottom dialog to choose a CSS file. If you're not familiar with CSS files, try the attached; making sure to change the file extension to CSS. HTH

<img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15>Looking at what I offered you, it was a rather bad example. I have changed the attachment. Can you see whether that makes any difference?

No attachment to your latest. Assuming you mean you have changed the attachment to your previous post, I have saved that again and applied it, but again without effect as far as I can see. Note that this is not crucial to me. I was more curious than anything!

It's not as convenient to use, but you probably would have better luck creating stationery. Why? If you tweak the styles on your computer, rather than embedding in the message code with custom stationery, there's a good chance your recipient isn't going to see what you intended.
