    Cancel Hypenation Single Word (Word 97/2000/2002)

    Several months ago, I asked if there was a way to cancel hyphenation for a single Word, like the WordPerfect cancel hyphenation function. Contrary to the usual responses I get from WOPR, no one had any ideas because Word's "don't hyphenate" option applies only to paragraphs. Well, someone just sent me an email after seeing an article on my web page and told me that if you turn on "no proofing" for an individual word that Word will not hyphenate the word. This works great, and here's the macro I created in case anybody wants it:

    Sub NoHyphen()
    Selection.MoveRight Unit:=wdWord, Count:=1, Extend:=wdExtend
    Selection.NoProofing = True
    Selection.MoveRight Unit:=wdCharacter, Count:=1
    End Sub

    Thx.
