Arrange By Global Settings (Outlook 2003)

Always a glutton for more self-flagellation, I just upgraded a couple of systems to Outlook 2003 from Outlook 2000. Aside from the fact that Outlook now has the UI from Hell, I have one particular (at the moment) problem trying to make a global setting.

By default, Outlook seems to want to have the reading pane turned on (despite the fact that it's a security hazard) and it further insists on turning on "Show in groups." Is there ANY way of turning both of these off globally? Preferably forever? I have TONS of folders and to have to go through each and every one to turn off these ridiculous things is driving me insane.

    Any help is deeply appreciated.

Have you tried going to View in your Main Menu and defining the settings as a Custom View - View|Arrange By|Current View|Define Views? Having set and saved that with its own name, working with that is as close as you're going to be able to get. HTH
