    XP,MSN 8,java (XP)

    I have XP with all the service paks. I also have MSN 8,Norton's System Works and Personal Firewall. Internet options show my java is enabled, but I amnot able to read java. How do I fix this? <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

    Microsoft stopped bundling its Java interpreter (the "Microsoft Virtual Machine") with Internet Explorer, so even if you allow Java to run, there might be no interpret to run it on. If you search here or on the Internet Explorer board for JRE (Java Runtime Engine) you can get a link to download Sun's interpreter. I think there are ways to get Microsoft's, too, but it's yesterday's technology. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
