Right click menu item (Word 2000)

How does one add a menu item to the short cut menu. I am referring to the menu that appears using rigth click.

Tools > Customize > Toolbars > Shortcut Menus (set the checkmark)

Then drag the items you want to the specific shortcut menu. There are a surprising number of menus because they are context sensitive.

    You need to search back a little further. Try <post#=23920>post 23920</post#> and <post#=102586>post 102586</post#>. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

What we found was to use the commandBAr named Text. This allowed us to add more menus to the short cut menu right click. This was done via VBA code

Re: Right click menu item (Word 2000)

Well now we have discovered that "text" will not work for accessing and modifing a right click menu item when using tables that are in Word. Does anyone know what the menu name is for the rigth click short cut for menus via VBA code?

There are several command bars associated with tables. Run this code and then inspect the ones that sound relevant until you find the context(s) you want to edit.

    <pre>Sub ListPopupCBarsWithTableInTheName()
    Dim cbar As CommandBar
    For Each cbar In CommandBars
    If cbar.Type = msoBarTypePopup Then
    If InStr(1, cbar.Name, "table", vbTextCompare) > 0 Then
    Debug.Print cbar.Name
    End If
    End If
    Next
If Not (cbar Is Nothing) Then Set cbar = Nothing
    End Sub</pre>

    Hope this helps.

You can also see all the shortcut toolbar names from the menu that you get when you use Tools > Customize > Toolbars > Shortcut Menus
