    Test & remove links

This is a good utility to test & if necessary, to remove any dead "Favorites" links. If most are like me, I have hundreds of links in my favorites box, some of which tend to be rather old & musty.
This utility will run down all of your stored links and show which ones are still valid or ones that are no longer active. You can then purge the bad links.
It's freeware and you can get it at: AM-DEADLINK

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!

    Re: Test & remove links

    Another couple of good <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>bies of this ilk:

    FavSearch and FavOrg.

I like the former cuz there's just so darned many Favorites on my list now, and the ability to search them for keywords, direct from IE, is a real time saver. The latter is similar to the one you mention, with the (added?) feature of grabbing the FavIcons along the way, and the option of setting dead links back to the root directory of the site (if appropriate). Sadly, FavOrg is from PCMag and now available by subscription only. But you might be lucky enough to find a "stray" copy somewhere on the WWW.

    Now how did that get in there? <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
