    Multiple animations at once

Is it possible to animate more than one object on a slide at the same time? If so, how?

    John,

Not exactly sure what you think of as "an object". However, if you group, say, a circle and a rectangle into one object, then you can animate the group. In fact, you can no longer animate (or do anything else with) the circle or the rectangle separately. If you do a custom animation, you'll see the item identified as Group1 (or whatever number your grouping might be up to).

The items don't have to be next to each other. When creating the group, select the first item in the usual way. Then, while holding the shift key, click on the 2nd item. This adds to the selection. Now click on the Draw button on the Drawing Toolbar and click Group. This extends to >2 items. Now you're ready to animate per above.

Thanks for the reply. Actually what I want to do is quite the opposite to what you suggested. I don't want to group objects like a circle and a square and have them do the same thing as a group. What I would like to do is have them do different animations at the same time. My eventual goal is to ungroup a piece of clip art and have it all come together at once, not piece by piece.

The underlying principal of show biz is lie, cheat, and steal.
Use a number of slides to create the motion and the play them back with no transition and 0 time between slides.
Here's a quick one. You'll, of course spend more time and care.
