Error 4248: this command is not available

"this command is not available because no document is open"

    <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.helptalk.net/forums/vb/messages/35935.html>http://www.helptalk.net/forums/vb/messages/35935.html</A>

I've had this before. What's the answer?

I run a template with no document open. After 30 minutes (churn, churn, churn, ...) I get the message.

It does not appear in my "Wrd97Err.doc", although several variants do.

An obvious fudge is to test the count of documents and .ADD a new one if the count is zero.

However, I'd dearly love to know what VBA command is causing the problem.

Obviously I can't locate it it while the template is open, because then I have an open document on the desktop and the error condition won't arise. Heller has a lot to answer for.

I have emailed the chap who posted the query in the URL above and will ultimately report back on this one.

Oh yes. Searching MSNKB for the text above didn't make this Eager Easter Bunny jump for joy, either.

I entered "4248" in the Knowledge base and came up with these two articles:

    Q177714

    Enjoy.

Thanks. I've saved these in my folder and will suss them out over the weakened weekend.
