    Re: Code Error DAO.database (2000)

DAO is not an add-in, but an object library to be used in VBA.

    Open the offending database.
Switch to the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11)
    Slect Tools | References...
Locate the Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library, and tick the corresponding text box.
    Click OK.
Select Debug | Compile <projectname> to see if the code is OK now.

Post back with details if this doesn't solve the problem.

    Code Error DAO.database (2000)

I'm suddenly getting the (attached) error when closing the frmOrderNew. I haven't done anything in this database for several months so this is pretty confusing as to why it would suddenly occur. I did, however, install Outlook 2002 this morning; although I don't know how that could have effected Access. I looked at the Add In option and it is grayed out (assumed DAO was an Add In). Any help greatly appreciated; can't enter any new orders!

Edit: "dbs As DAO.database" is highlited in blue when the VBA editor first opens.
