hidden returns in captions (2000 SR1)

We have a page limited proposal and are using captions & action captions. Without a frame around the picture and caption, you can blend the caption & action caption together by using hidden font for the para return after the caption. I picked this trick up here. It keeps all the descriptive text out of the TOC.

My problem is when we use a frame or table cell that is positioned on the page. Hidden text (or the para return) once inside the frame is no longer hidden. Is this something we can get around? Why does the use of a frame cause hidden returns to not hide?

Thanks for any suggestions or help.

    Hi Nancy:
Never noticed this before, but it's true. I suppose you could put the descriptive text in it's own frame, but that's a pain to adjust. Hopefully, someone will have a better suggestion.
