    Subform updating (XP,2000)

In my DB, I have a master input form that has a few fields and a tab control. This master input form puts data into one table. Most of the subforms on the tab control put data in other tables. However, one of the tabs has a form which contains additional fields of the same table associated with my main form (call it TAB A).

Problem is, the subform on that tab doesn't seem to stay updated when I add a new record in my main form. In other words, when I add a new record on the main form then go to the TAB A and try to add data to those fields, it increments to the next record when it should stay with the current record.

Do you really need a subform for Tab A? Why not put the appropriate controls directly on the tab page?

No, I was not requerying and, also, I don't think I need a subform - I just thought that was how to get all the controls on the tab page - by way of a subform. I will put the controls directly on the tab page and try it.
