    Babysitting Dilema

Suppose that a babysitter had a choice of two payment options:

    1) Accept a flat rate of $15 for a night's work, or

    2) Choosing two of six sealed envelopes containing $1, $1, $5, $5, $10 and a $20 bill.

Note that the second option could leave you with as little as $2 or as much as $30 for a night's work. Assuming that you'd get to babysit for a long, long time, which is the better payment option?

$15 a night will give an average of $15 over a long time
    2 of $1, $1, $5, $5, $10, $20 will average (1+1+5+5+10+20)/3 = $14 over a long time
