    force window to top

    I have two small web apps where I use JavaScript to display the results of some calculations (from data in a form). If the user doesn't explicitly close this pop-up window before pushing the Submit button again, this output window remains hidden (buried under whatever other windows are on the desktop). <img src=/S/hiding.gif border=0 alt=hiding width=70 height=24>

    How can I force this window to move to the top of the pile? I've read in a JS book about the z-lock feature of window.open but it says it's for NS only. How else can I do this?

    Thnx, Deb

    Re: force window to top

    I figured this out for myself so thought I'd share the answer with ya'll <img src=/S/bananas.gif border=0 alt=bananas width=33 height=35> <img src=/S/clapping.gif border=0 alt=clapping width=19 height=23>

    In the code after I open the window, I do a .focus() call like this:

    var outW = window.open(x,x,x);
    outW.focus();

    That's all it took.
