    URL to Clipboard

I recall seeing a *free* download that installs context menu item(s) to copy urls to the clipboard...

But with this proggy, you could do it in 16 or 32 bit, AND you could use it on local files (transferred to file://) and links...

    And it is free!

Anyone heard of this out there?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

    Re: URL to Clipboard

Not sure what it is you're trying to copy. If you really mean a URL, which is simply a web address, the right-click menu already has a "Copy link location" selection. Are you trying to copy an entire web page to the clipboard? I don't know how that could work, given all the elements contained in a web page, i.e. graphics, links, etc. However, to SAVE an entire web page can be done with most browsers using Save Page As and selecting Web Page Complete as the file type. Can you clarify, Chuck?

    BigAl:

It was really nothing more than a context-menu translator to 16-bit names, or url format on filenames....

    No big deal though...

    Thanks,
    Chuck

    Re: URL to Clipboard

    Hi,

I'm not very literate in these affairs, but if what you're looking for is a prog that will take a web address and return the sintax with a mixture of numbers and letters, e.g. "% 20 " (altogether, with no quotes) instead of a blank space, try Karen's URL Discombobulator.

    Hope this helps

    Re: URL to Clipboard

    How about this one:

CopyURL is a shell extension that helps you to copy different information from your Internet Shortcut files (entries in the Favorites folder or *.url files) to the clipboard. Then you can simply paste it from clipboard to your e-mails, HTML editor or other documents. It adds commands Copy URL, Copy Link and Copy Name to the shell context menu of Internet Shortcut files.
